Tifany Lee
bio

Tifany Lee is a Southern writer and performer. Showing a proclivity for the stage as a child, Tifany began her performance career in the theatre. Her intuitive grasp of a character's interior flowered into a writing career through song, autobiographical pieces, and playwriting. She has written and performed experimental theatre at such venues as the 14th Street Playhouse, Woodruff Arts Center, and Seven Stages of Atlanta. She has made short films and collaborated with other artists in video installations. Tifany produced Heroine, a Southern Gothic zine spanning 2007-2008. She has recently completed the script for the play Zombie U: a comedy about food.

Musically, Tifany studied classical piano as a child under James Hart, later teaching herself guitar. Her musical works have woven in and out of her playwriting while also taking an independent life of their own. She explores the dichotomy of being a modern woman with traditional romantic notions of femininity. With two independently released albums, she has opened for such national acts as the Pointer Sisters at the Mablehouse Amphitheatre and beside the Zac Brown Band at The Parkside Tavern in Atlanta. Tifany entertained the 60,000 plus crowd at the annual rivalry Georgia/Tennessee basketball game with the National Anthem in 2004 with her unique and powerful voice.
